Information on this website is always encrypted between the website and the user. The database containing the website content is itself encrypted. Access to data on the website is controlled via Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), with authenticated website users being assigned roles granting them permission to access additional site features.
This database hosts anonymized, public views of data, which are available to all authenticated users, and private data, which are available to a subset of users within defined port groups. Data contained within private port groups are accessible only to members of the respective port group. Port group membership is restricted to authenticated users assigned a specific role on the site, which is controlled by site administrators. Port group membership must also be explicitly granted by site and port group administrators. Any data added to a port group is only visible to members of that port group.
Data contained within private port groups can be accessed and downloaded by members of that port group. Please treat this data as sensitive and follow all organizational data security policies for storage and distribution upon download. Once data is downloaded from the database, the United States Government, PNNL, IAPH, and WPCAP are no longer responsible for the security and encryption of data.
